WASHINGTON, DC (May 13, 2025) — Today, the National Catholic Register featured Patrick Novecosky in its faith and food section.
In the article “How Food, Faith and John Paul II Shaped a Catholic Communicator,” Novecosky tells writer Alexandra Greely that John Paul II’s life and teaching profoundly changed his life.
“As a young man, I tried to see life through a Catholic lens,” he recalls. “In my mid-20s, I became more fascinated with Catholicism and Pope John Paul II. He had a profound impact on my life. As I grew in my faith, I really fell in love with the Church and with Christ because of his influence.”
Novecosky talked about growing up on a farm in Saskatchewan, Canada, and how that impacted his relationship with food. The article concluded with a recipe for Novecosky’s favorite breakfast meal, Huevos Rancheros.
