IRONDALE, Alabama (April 30, 2025) —  Patrick Novecosky joined Father Mitch Pacwa, host of EWTN Live, this evening to discuss the remarkable life and legacy of John Paul II, who canonized St. Faustina Kowalska 25 years ago today.

Fr. Mitch asked Novecosky about his study of the great Polish Pope and how he evaluated John Paul’s most significant accomplishments in his book, 100 Ways John Paul II Changed the World.

They went on to discuss the Polish pontiff’s role in authenticating St. Faustina’s writings, founding World Youth Day, and the launching the New Evangelization.

Novecosky talked about being in St. Peter’s Square on April 30, 2000, when the Holy Father declared that from that day on, the Church would celebrate the Second Sunday of Easter as “Divine Mercy Sunday.”
