GREEN BAY, Wisconsin. (May 13, 2022) — Author Patrick Novecosky was a guest on Relevant Radio’s Drew Mariani Show today, talking about Pope St. John Paul II and the attempt on his life 41 years ago today. One year after Turkish assassin Mehmet Ali Ağca shot the pope in St. Peter’s Square, the Holy Father made his first of three visits to Fatima.

During the 21-minute segment on the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima, host Drew Mariani asked Novecosky about his work as director of a crisis pregnancy center and John Paul’s teaching on life issues before turning to Fatima and how the Polish pontiff’s trust in Providence guided him through the attempt on his life and his role in bringing down the Soviet Union.
